Physiotherapists are specialist clinicians in the treatment and rehabilitation of neuro-musculoskeletal problems including low back pain, shoulder pain, sports injuries and following surgery including hip replacements, knee surgery or microdiscectomy (spinal surgery).
Physiotherapy is not just about the treatment of symptoms; physiotherapists at The Practice are committed to interventions that importantly identify the cause of your symptoms. Once the cause is identified we can then prescribe an appropriate treatment/rehabilitation programme, which may include a combination of hands on treatment such as mobilisation, manipulation, deep tissue massage, acupuncture and functional rehabilitation (Clinical Pilates) in our in house Pilates studio or functional rehabilitation at our satellite strength and conditioning centre.
Physiotherapists at The Practice all have post-graduate qualifications in areas including musculoskeletal physiotherapy, acupuncture,
Clinical Pilates, Strength and Conditioning and the management of chronic pain.
Qualifications include membership of The Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP), Masters qualifications in Pain Management, Acupuncture, Strength and Conditioning and Crossfit level 1 coaching and Olympic weightlifting coaching.
Since 2003 we have established links and receive referrals from local GP’s and leading Consultants in the areas of orthopaedics, rheumatology, neurology, spinal surgery and pain management. However, by far the majority of our referrals are by word of mouth based on our reputation as leaders in the fields of physiotherapy and Clinical Pilates.
